MCHA secured part-funding from the Highland Council's Nature Restoration Fund to help plant a "mini woodland" around the Minginish Community Hall. Working with Carbost School and North Talisker Sheep Stock Club, over 200 native trees were planted around the hall creating a shelterbelt and a nature corridor, bringing with it benefits for local biodiversity. And trees just look good! In the years to come, the area around the hall will be transformed and will be, we hope, teaming with nature.
